چکیده

As carbon dioxide emissions arising from fossil energy consumption and fuels are gradually increased, it is important for the low-carbon operation of ships to recover diesel engine waste heat. A newly developed dual-loop organic Rankine cycle (ORC) system heat a marine main (M/E) was designed in this paper. The exhaust gas (EG) recovered by high-temperature (HT) loop. jacket cooling water (JCW) condensation HT loop were low-temperature (LT) Toluene, cyclohexane, benzene, R1233zd (E), R245fa, R227ea selected as working fluids. influence condenser thermal parameters on LT analyzed using pinch point method. performance ORC investigated under various fluid combinations. maximum net power can reach 253.4 kW when cyclohexane fluid, efficiency 18.5% with benzene fluid. Meanwhile, higher temperatures levels have positive effect However, most conditions, could not provide enough loop’s start boiling process. total 410.6 Cyclohexane (E) loop, resulting 10.9% improvement efficiency.

Thermodynamic Analysis of a Dual-loop Organic Rankine Cycle (orc) for Waste Heat Recovery of a Petrol Engine

Huge amount of low-grade heat energy is discharged to the environment by vehicular engines. Considering the large number of vehicles in the world, such waste energy makes great impacts to our environment globally. Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), which uses an organic fluid with a low boiling point working medium, is considered as the most promising technology to recover energy from low-grade waste...

Increasing waste heat recovery from an internal combustion engine by a dual-loop non-organic Rankine Cycle

This research proposes the combination of a dual-loop non-organic Rankine cycle (DNORC) with an internal combustion engine to increase the output power of the recovery system by focusing on the increase in the energy input and system efficiency. In doing so, it investigates the strategy of increasing the mean effective temperature of heat addition in the high-temperature Rankine cycle (HTRC) (t...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
